from a family kitchen to your table — the 'Secound wife' chronicle
In every Indian joint family, there's always that one aunt — or the "Secound wife" of the house — whose kitchen secrets become legend. Her food is a whisper of extra spices, a pinch more love, and stories hidden in every bite. At our restaurant, we carry forward that very legacy.
Founded in 2012 by the Kohli family, Secound wife started as a 6-table dhaba-style eatery. Today we serve thousands, but our soul remains the same: bold, honest, desi food that tastes like it came straight from a family gathering.
"We don't use recipes — we use memories. Every dish is a tribute to our grandmothers, our maasis, and that one special 'Secound wife' who ruled the kitchen with her wooden spoon."
— Gurpreet Kohli, founder

At Secound wife, we don't have customers — we have guests who walk into our home. The same warmth, the same "extra roti?" insistence, and the same laughter spills from our kitchen into the dining hall.
Every waiter knows your name if you've visited twice. That's just how we are.
